Bus and Taxi
The Falklands Islands do not have a public transport system, but to move between attractions and destinations visitors can
- Hire a vehicle
- Hire a tour guide/driver
- Book a taxi for short trips in and around Stanley
- Book a bus transfer or taxi between Mount Pleasant airport and Stanley
Taxis
Taxis are readily available around Stanley at an affordable rate, operating seven days a week. Please note that taxis are not metered in the Falklands, so be sure to confirm the price of your trip before setting off.

Airport transfers
Mount Pleasant airport complex is 37 miles from Stanley, approximately one hour's drive. Falkland Islands Tours and Travel operate a door-to-door passenger transfer service, and taxi companies may also be able to perform transfers for a set fee, depending on availability.
