Outdoor Activities
Plenty of sunshine and blue skies provide the perfect setting for many outdoor activities though it is wise to wear "layers" of clothes to allow for changing temperatures and sometimes wetter conditions! Golf, fishing and hiking are popular with both residents and visitors and there are ample opportunities to enjoy all of these around the Stanley area and in the Camp.
Falkland Islanders have participated in competitive shooting events at an international level. Visitors may wish to contact the local clubs or arrange for a shooting session on the Stanley range. Watersports are not yet offered on a commercial basis but with a little advance planning it's possible to make the most of the beautiful shorelines and experience the cool temperatures of the South Atlantic in the company of some fantastic wildlife.
