Lorenzo Pond Sand Beach is on a working farm on the north coast of east Falklands.
After arriving in Stanley, you will be collected at the Jetty Visitor Centre and driven in 4x4 vehicles. You will then drive along a road, passing many Falkland farms along the way. Then you will enjoy a 30 minute ‘off road’ experience.
On arrival at your picturesque location you will see over 1000 Gentoo penguins, before moving further along the coast to a beautiful white sand beach where you can see Gentoo and Magellanic penguins returning from feeding. At the far end of the beach you will also see Magellanic penguin burrows scattered across the landscape. You may also see visiting King Penguins.
Just offshore on the Lorenzo Pond is a small Island, home to nesting Dolphin and Kelp Gulls and other smaller water and shore birds. These include Flightless Steamer ducks, Upland Geese, Two Banded Plovers, Kelp Geese, Grebes, Teal Ducks, Oyster Catchers and many more.
You will also see an abundance of Falkland flora.
