FITB at UK Birdfair
Once again the Falkland Islands Tourist Board exhibited at Birdfair, Egleton Nature Reserve, Rutland, UK. “Birdfair” describes itself as “the birdwatcher’s Glastonbury” and is the World’s largest international birdwatching event.
This year (August 2010), visitors to the stand enjoyed a real taste of the Falklands at our daily morning “smoko” with tasty treats including fudge, biscuits, scones with diddle-dee jam, bunkhouse buns and teaberry vodka. The competition for a Falklands birding pack proved extremely popular - with winners to be informed by e-mail/post.
