Accommodation Options

Organised tours booked through an international or local operator will include accommodation bookings.  If you would rather organise your own itinerary or just want to know more click here for more information about accommodation options.

Most accommodation in Stanley is offered on a bed and breakfast basis.  Check with your host if they will provide extra meals or dine out at one of Stanley’s restaurants, cafés or public bars.

Catered accommodation outside Stanley is usually full board.  Meals and traditional “smoko” often include fresh farm produce and home baked cakes.  Drinks can be purchased from an “honesty bar” - help yourself, write it down and pay on departure.  If you choose self-catering you may find yourself in a get-away-from-it all location with little or no access to food supplies.  Check before you travel or take all you need from Stanley.

There are no designated campsites or camping facilities in the Islands but many locations make idyllic camping spots.  The experience is truly tranquil with stunning views, magnificent night-time skies and the sounds of wildlife to help you drift off to sleep!   Permission is needed from the land owner so planning in advance is essential.  Contact the Falkland Island Tourist Board for more information.
