After growing up in the English Lake District she was awarded a BSc degree from Edinburgh University. Discovering that cooking was a great way to travel, she headed to Outer Mongolia where she cooked on horse-back treks and then to the Kola Peninsula in Northern Russia to cook in salmon fishing camps. She has travelled extensively. Hattie ran a wildlife and fishing lodge at Port Howard on West Falkland for 7 years. She has always enjoyed cooking with local flavours. She is now busy with the Bluff Cove Museum, a new addition to the Bluff Cove Lagoon Tour. She has served two terms as a Director of FITB.
