Mount Adam Icon for Mount Adam

At 700m (2297ft) Mount Adam is the highest point of West Falkland. It is one of the Hill Cove mountains running from Hells Kitchen in the west. There are two summits and to the north of the summit ridge a very steep drop to two small tarns. A walk to the top can be approached in a variety of ways, with none particularly favoured over any other: from the north side Hill Cove - Shallow Bay road, from the south side Roy Cove - Port Howard road or by attempting to drive some way in. Views from the top are impressive across to the north-west islands.

Allow a whole day to reach the summit and ensure that some-one will be aware of your return.

Contact: Accommodation providers in the area or the Falkland Islands Tourist Board for advice about land access, dependent on the route chosen.
