First Mountain, Pebble Island
First Mountain, 277m (909ft), is the tallest of three mountains at the west end of Pebble Island. The more adventurous may like to be dropped at the furthest from the settlement of these three hills, Marble Mountain to return via Middle Peak and First Mountain as a "three peaks challenge". The memorial for HMS Coventry, sunk off the coast of Pebble Island during the 1982 war with Argentina, is at the base of First Mountain.
