Mount Byng, Carcass Island 
Mount Byng South, 220m (723ft) and its slightly smaller neighbour Mount Byng are the highest points of Carcass Island. Easily reached from the settlement, the two peaks can be scaled in less than half a day but make a challenging start to a longer day out to the north-west point of the island in search of elephant seals with lovely views en route.
