Port Louis Cookhouse is situated in the middle of Port Louis settlement, overlooking the picturesque harbour.
It sleeps up to 10 people, in 4 bedrooms; a super king room with a four-poster bed and ensuite, a king room, a twin room with bunkbeds, and a family room with a king bed and bunkbeds. There is also a family bathroom upstairs with a separate bath and shower.
Downstairs, the kitchen, living and dining areas are open plan, with expansive views out over the harbour. Also downstairs, is a large porch with fridge-freezer and washing machine, a children's living room and a second bathroom with a shower.
The main living room opens up through French doors onto a large decking which hugs the north and east sides of the house, offering views of the surrounding settlement and mountains.
There is a separate bar area in the shed just to the east of the house, with a log burning stove for guests to use.
Highchair and travel cot can be provided upon request.
- Port Louis Cookhouse is a self-catering, with cooking essentials provided (olive oil, selection of herbs, salt and pepper). You will find everything to make tea, coffee and hot chocolate and a list of items available to buy upon request (seasonal veg, farm meat, eggs, milk, and more).
- We provide bottles of orange juice, spring water and milk, as well as a complimentary bottle of prosecco upon arrival.
- Facilities: 2 TVs radio, washing machine (with everything provided for doing your laundry), iron and ironing board, large decking area with ample seating and large table, separate bar area with wood burner (chopped wood provided).
- Kitchen facilities: fully equipped kitchen with smaller integrated fridge, large fridge freezer, dishwasher, microwave, 4-slice toaster, gas kettle, large LPG Rangemaster with gas and electric ovens.
- There is ample parking outside the house.
- Methods of payment are by local bank transfer or cash.
- Quality British wool bedding and mattresses, and high-quality Egyptian cotton bed linens mean you will get the most comfortable night's sleep. Each bedroom is provided with soft bath sheets, black out curtains, hairdryers, and your own tea and coffee facilities, making sure you have everything you need for your stay.
- No pets allowed in the house.
Port Louis is a well-kept and historic settlement. Guests are free to wander and explore the beautiful walks of the settlement and nearby coastlines.
We can also offer wildlife and photography tours to our stunning North coast, subject to availability and with prior booking. These take a full day.
