2 Para Memorial

Located close to Darwin on the hill overlooking Goose Green, the 2 Para Memorial commemorates the battle for Goose Green fought on 28th and 29th May 1982. A tall cross stands atop a stone plinth with poppy wreaths at the foot. The memorial plaque lists the names of the British who gave their lives. “Erected by 2 Para in memory of their fallen comrades.” The memorial is reached from the road approaching Darwin settlement.
