Mount Harriet Memorial

About

Mount Harriet was captured by 42 Commando on the night of 11th/12th June 1982. It had been preceded by nine days of intensive night patrolling over rough ground littered with minefields. A striking summit cross stands atop the hill with a memorial plaque dedicated to the two Royal Marines killed in action. At the foot of the hill a memorial stone recounts the history of the battle.
