At 705 metres (2,312 feet), Mount Usborne is the highest peak in the Falkland Islands. Located in the northern part of East Falkland, it can be reached on a day trip from most settlements. The summit provides excellent views of the surrounding area and can be reached by various hiking routes, usually involving the negotiation of stone runs. Seek local advice about tackling this enjoyable but challenging journey.
