Murrell River

Located close to Stanley, the Islands’ capital, on East Falkland, the freshwater stretch of the Murrell river is not open for fishing but there are excellent opportunities at the estuary. The river rises on the eastern side of Mount Vernet and flowing eastwards; the estuary lies north of Stanley Harbour. Easy bank access and firm sand creates easy wading if necessary. The site is easy to reach by road with a short stretch of off-road driving.
