Victory Green

Situated in central Stanley, the Islands’ capital on East Falkland, Victory Green is an attractive stretch of land alongside the harbour wall. This is a lovely place to sit on a sunny day, with views to the north side of Stanley Harbour with wooden benches to provide the perfect rest stop. Upland geese frequently congregate on the green with Falklands’ flightless steamer ducks, Patagonian crested ducks and kelp geese picking their way along the shore, below the sea wall, at low tide. The mizzen mast from the SS Great Britain lies at the west end of the green.
