Remembrance Sunday

About

Remembrance Sunday is on 13 Nov and will be marked by the traditional ceremonies in Stanley.

The main church service will take place at Christ Church Cathedral followed by the Act of Remembrance at the Cross of Sacrifice, Ross Road East, Stanley.  The Act of Remembrance will be supported by marching detachments representing the Royal Navy, Army, Royal Air Force and the Falkland Islands Defence Force.  The marching detachments, together with the Royal British Legion, SAMA Veterans and Associations will form up on Ross Road East adjacent to B Slip. The service detachments will then  march into positions on either side of the Cross of Sacrifice, with Associations taking up positions on the side of the road opposite the entrance and steps

The Victory Green saluting guns will mark the beginning and end of the two minute silence during the Act of Remembrance at the Cross of Sacrifice.
