Situated just over seven miles east of Stanley, the lighthouse is located on the most easterly point of the Falklands. Hiking to the lighthouse takes around three hours; alternatively it can be reached by vehicle along a track. It is possible to climb the tower via a spiral staircase to enjoy the scenery and wildlife of this striking area - the key is available from the Museum for a daily charge of £5.
A memorial to the Atlantic Conveyor, which was lost in the 1982 conflict, is nearby.
