Here’s five easy steps for planning the holiday of a lifetime.

1. How do I get there?  This is the easy bit!  There’s only three ways to fly to the Falklands.  You can fly direct from Punta Arenas (Chile) each Saturday or Sao Paulo (Brazil) each Wednesday on LATAM.  Return flights are on the same day.  The Sao Paulo flight is new, starting in November 2019.  There another option for those living in the UK or who can get to the UK easily – a twice weekly flight with the Royal Air Force from Brize Norton (which is in beautiful Oxfordshire).  So there’s some great options for two-centre holidays in the UK or South America.  But don’t hang around too long in these other countries…get yourself down to the Falklands and make the most of your precious holidays. 2. What is there to do?  It depends on your interests.  If you love the outdoors, you’ll love the Falklands.  Firstly the birdlife is spectacular.  We have five types of penguins, and large and easily accessible colonies of some of the world’s rarest and most enchanting birds.  But you don’t need to be interested in birds to enjoy the Falklands.  It is a paradise for walking, military and maritime history, island life, fishing, sailing, adventure sports, and simply getting away from it all. How do I decide where to go?  Spend some time in Stanley, our tiny capital, then do some exploring in East and West Falkland, the two largest islands.  But save time to hop onto our small aircraft to take you to one of the six smaller islands that have overnight accommodation (and an average population of around four people) to really see island life and some of the most spectacular bird and marine life.
